WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION (WHO) VACANCY NOTICE The World Health Organization, Sudan Office is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the following post: Title: Travel Clerk Closing Date: 8 July, 2012 Type of Contract: Special Service Agreement (SSA) Duty Station: Khartoum The Travel clerk will undertake the following duties: Arranges the internal travel of all kinds, by air arid road, and obtain necessary confirmation and clearances. Coordinates with the WHO field offices and other agencies re arrangements of internal travel Ensures necessary clearances are obtained from the local authorities prior to the travel date. Provide guidance to staff on applicable WHO travel policy and rules. Assists in issuing internal travel authorizations for staff and keep records of issued Travel Authorizations Receives and review travel claims of within country travel and ensure all required documents are attached along with the travel claim requisition. Receives and screens the statement and invoices submitted by the travel agent or the UN flight operation and verify the calculation before forwarding to Finance for payment. Assists in establishing a budget to cover the cost of within country travel and request replenishment before the budget is exhausted. Assists the Admin. Assistant for Travel and Protocol matters especially during workloads and be in charge of the unit and handles all international travel and protocol issues in case the Admin. Assistant is absent. Supports the administration in monitoring the office lease agreements in terms of issuance, extension and payment of rent. Performs any other related duty assigned by the Supervisor. N.B.
