Various Jobs الوظيفة GOAL الجهة GOAL is an Irish international humanitarian Non Governmental Organization operating development programs in 50 countries since its inception. It is working towards ensuring that the poorest of the poor and most vulnerable and those affected by humanitarian have access to the fundamental needs and rights of life by implementing food security programs water and sanitation programs and medical programs to the vulnerable communities, GOAL has been working in Sudan since 1984. The current GOAL programs focus's on four main sectors: primary health care, women education program (REFLECT) water sanitation and hygiene promotion (WASH) and sustainable livelihoods
Assistant Logistic Manager (Transport) (1): Location: Kurmuk, Southern Blue Nile State (SBN). Grade and Salary: 4.1, SDG 1483.
Responsibilities: • Receive movements requests for staff and ensure that all movements are managed as best is possible with the vehicles and drivers available. • With the support of the Logistics Assistant ensure all drivers have working VHF units and these are used to communicate all movements to the Transport Officer. • Compile the Vehicle Log Book on a weekly basis • Develop and manage thee driver timetable. • Develop and Manage a Preventative Maintenance Schedule for all GOAL vehicles. • Provide technical assistance to the warehouse manager • Generate all fuel OQRF's, for vehicles and base generators • With the support of the FLM ensure that all vehicles have relevant insurance cover • Maintain all folders in an orderly fashion.
Required experience and skills: • Previous work experience in Logistics. • Recognized University qualification preferred. • Good written and spoken English. • working experience in INGO • Excellent communication and organizational skill, ability to determine priorities and attention to detail • Working knowledge of Word and Excel Skills in PowerPoint and other applications is an advantage • Ability to work on their own, a self starter with high energy levels. • Willingness to travel to field sites on a regular basis and to live in shared accommodation.
Warehouse Officer (1). Location: Kurmuk, Sothern Blue Nile State with travel to GOAL field sites in the area. Grade and Salary: 3.1, SDG 927.
Responsibilities: • The Warehouse Officer is responsible for managing all receipt and distribution of stock in the GOAL Warehouses in SBN. The Warehouse Officer supervises storekeepers Allocation of Stock Codes, registration on Stock Cards and Stock Monitoring Sheets for local stock registration on Transit Warehouse Tracking Sheet for in transit stock and to Ocument Asset movement from one location to another • Replacing and labeling of all transit stock Correct Storage of all stock (health, WATSAN Construction, spare parts, general) and Differentiation of in transit and local stock. • Distribution of Stock: by management of IRF’s for local stock Generation of DD's and Packing lists tor all stock to be transferred to a secondary warehouse • Manage and account for all fuel stock tracking (issues and receipts). • Maintain all folders in an orderly fashion.
Required experience and skills: • previous work experience in Logistics • Secondary School Certificate in technical field • Good written and spoken English and Arabic • Minimum of 1 year with an NGO • Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to determine priorities and attention to detail • Working knowledge of Word and Excel and emails and other applications is an advantage. • Ability to work on their own, a self starter with high energy levels. • Willingness to travel to field sites on a regular basis and to live in shared accommodation
WASH, M & E Manager (1). Location: Kurmuk County with extensive travel at field sites within GOAL targeting area in Kurmuk. Grade & Salary: 5.1, SDG 1614
Responsibilities: • Conduct assessments to determine the community's needs and priorities vis-à-vis hygiene and water Supply and sanitation (Follow guidelines as stipulated and maintain all folders in an orderly fashion. • Identify current community structures that could be developed into the various village/ payam/ boma level WASH management committees. • Identify key community training needs where necessary. • Work closely with the communities to understand their perception of the roles/responsibilities of the formed committees and other community structures existing and strengthen the same to ensure sound community management and sustainability of WASH interventions. • Based on Donor guidelines and technical support from WASH Manager/ WASHto contribute towards development of WASH activity monitoring and evaluation framework. • Liaise regularly with community health promotion team in conducting WASH assessments; design of hygiene promotion approaches, and to adopt approaches that would be appropriate for sustainability of WASH interventions. • Coordinate with WES, health and with other Agencies/ Organizations/ Local Authorities at County level under the guidance of Field WASH Manager. • Prepare weekly/ monthly, activity reports for the sub-sector and forward to the field WASH Manager in a timely manner. • Identify training needs for CSOs and develop staff training plan with the Field WASH Manager.
Required experience and skills: • Degree in Monitoring & Evaluation/ Community. • Development/ Environmental Health Sciences (or similar) OR Diploma in related Field with at least 2 years experience • Proven experience of working in a similar position in WASH projects. • Knowledge and experience in planning, implementation, and monitoring of WASH activities • Knowledge and experience in Community participation approaches like PRA, PLA, PHAST, CLTS, CHAST • Good English communication skills (oral and written). • Sound Report writing, Analytical and Survey skills will be key for this position. • (local) Arabic communication skills (oral) will be an advantage. • Ability and willingness to work in remote areas and in challenging conditions. • Experience in training/working with communities. • Experience working with NGOs will be an advantage • Good Computer skills (MS Office/Statistical Packages). • Good team player, flexible and capable of working with a multinational country team.
