The British Embassy, Khartoum is seeking applications for the position of Prosperity and Projects Assistant (LEIII) This position combines commercial and project work, and should offer a varied and interesting challenge. In terms of experience and skills, we would expect successful applicants to have the following: • 3 years relevant office experience, ideally in a commercial or Non-Governmental environment; • Strong IT and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will Review local media to identify local commercial opportunities and publish details of these opportunities in the UKTI website, assisting with enquires from UK companies, acting on task(s) assigned by the Commercial Officer, The successful candidate will also administer already active projects, ensuring full and timely expenditure of agreed budgets and write reports on implementation of past projects, feeding back lessons learned to departments who provided funding. The candidate will need to be proactive in building contacts, gathering information and looking for new project partners and opportunities, in line with the Embassy’s strategic priorities.
Candidates must be fluent in both English and Arabic (written and spoken) and have good translation skills.
Benefits include competitive rates of pay and comprehensive medical scheme. The minimum salary for the grade is SDG 2,414, although more may be paid to reflect experience and qualifications.
