GOAL is an international humanitarian organization that has been working in Sudan for over 20 years. GOAL believes that every human being has a right to the fundamentals of Life, to Food, Water. Sheller. Literacy and Medical Attention. GOAL is non-denominational, non-governmental and non-political and its resources are targeted at the most vulnerable in this world. Job Location: Khartoum with regular field visits (60%). Reporting To: Health Coordinator. Length Contract: One Year Renewable. Salary & Grade: 6 step 1 (2278.84 SDG).
General Description: The over all aim of this position is to assist the Health Coordinator in the day to day support of GOAL North Sudan Primary Health Care Program. GOAL programs include primary health care, nutrition interventions and community health programming (health promotion). HIV and gender themes cross-cut all program sectors and activities. Provide technical support to field-based health station all aspects of the PHC program. Ensure proper monitoring systems in place arc correctly used by the field sites. Provide appropriate training as needed, Provide constructive feedback to staff based on analysis of this data.
Requirements: • Primary degree / Masters in Public health, medicine or similar, • At least 5 years of practical experience working in health programs for an international NGO. • Demonstrated analytical and conceptual skills to plan projects, timetable agreed activities and oversee staff activities. • Good computer skills, including Word, Excel, and statistics packages. • Excellent communication and training skills with track record of building/developing cohesive teams. • Good team player, flexible and capable of working with a multi-national country team. • Ability and willingness to travel to locations outside Khartoum and live in sometime basic conditions.
